The year was 1966 and the Van Doren brothers were onto something big, they opened up a shop where twelve customers purchased a Vans deck shoe on that day. This shoe is now known to many as the Authentic. With a thick sticky sole and thick upper canvas, these are perfect for doing a few kick flips down the street or just chilling with a few cold ones. Every walk of life wears Vans in this day in age, but whenever a pair of Vans is worn we still see that salute to those 70's skateboarder kids ripping it up in California, paving the way for a trainer generation.
